The Greater Cincinnati Harmony Festival is pleased this year to offer a Teachers' Workshop to introduce educators to the world of Barbershop Harmony.  The Workshop will be held at Northern Kentucky University's Greaves Concert Hall on Saturday, June 23, beginning at 2 PM.

of the Southern Gateway Chorus, twice International Champion Chorus.

 
Teachers' Workshop Faculty

Don Gray has been a certified Arrangement/Music Category Judge in the Barbershop Harmony Society since 1975. He coaches and teaches at various District-level schools around the world, and has arranged over 500 songs, many of which were performed by International Champion Quartets and Choruses.

As a performer, Don won seven International medals with The Roaring 20's quartet, and competed at the International level with other quartets such as His Master's Voice and Chairmen of the Boards.  Don currently sings with Riverblend, the 2005 Johnny Appleseed District Seniors Quartet Champs and 8th place International Seniors Quartet.  Additionally, Don has been competing at the International level with the Southern Gateway Chorus since 1964, where he has served as coach, arranger, section leader and chorus member.

Bob Mucha received his degree in Music Education from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and continued his graduate work at Ohio State University, Eastman School of Music and Indiana University.  After his retirement as Director of Choral Activities in the Middletown, Ohio, Public Schools, Bob served two years as a Music Specialist at the Barbershop Harmony Society headquarters in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  He is in constant demand throughout the Barbershop world as a coach and teacher of fine quartets and choruses. He is a member, coach and assistant director of the Southern Gateway Chorus.
